Sexuality and Adolescent Development Fostering
Healthy sexual development involves biological, psychological, and socio-cultural processes. Like all aspects of adolescent development, sexual development occurs both within an individual and through interaction with the environment.
The main learning objectives of the course are as follows:
- To be able to define terms and concepts
- To be aware of the social influences on adolescent sexuality
- To know the key biological, psychological, and social features of normal adolescent sexual development
- To recognise the markers of healthy – and unhealthy – behaviours and relationships in adolescent development
This course meets the Training, Support, and Development Standards as outlined in The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011.
Upon booking this course, we will discuss the learning objectives and outcomes you wish to achieve based on the young people in your care.
