This course is designed for employees who want to develop their basic fire safety awareness to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as fire wardens/marshals/stewards etc.)
Learners that complete this course will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace, and will recognise the consequences of a fire in any premises.
The main learning objectives of the course are as follows:
- To understand the legislation
- To explore the procedures you should follow
- To consider factors for prevention
- To understand fire
- To consider what to do in emergencies
- To identify the types of extinguishers
This course meets the Children’s Home Quality Standards as outlined in The Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015 and Children’s Homes Quality Standards 2015.
