This course aims to provide foster carers with an understanding of how to manage potential placement breakdowns, and the support available through this process.
The main learning objectives of the course are as follows:
- To explore the causes of placement breakdown
- To recognise the underlying factors of placement breakdown
- To examine the events and behaviours leading up to placement breakdown
- To identify the actions that can be taken to minimise placement breakdown and its impact
This course meets the Training, Support, and Development Standards as outlined in The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011.
