This course is aimed at candidates who work with children who have suffered trauma. Candidates will gain a better understanding of trauma, its effects on the developing child, and its impact on the brain.
The main learning objectives of the course are as follows:
- To describe the ways that trauma impacts the brain
- To describe the factors that affect early brain development
- To describe the impact of traumatic stress in childhood
This course meets the Training, Support, and Development Standards as outlined in The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011.
