This course has been developed to support foster carers in delivering this priority. It is based on valuable learning from a new approach to managing gang and group offending. This course aims to reduce gang violence by supporting those who wish to exit their gang lifestyle, while simultaneously using robust techniques against those who continue to engage in serious violence.
The main learning objectives of the course are as follows:
- Look at a definition of a gang
- Look at prevention and intervention strategies
- Learn several indicators and risk factors of gangs in your community
- Explore tips of what can be done by Carers to prevent gang activity
This course is specifically for employee who work with Care Leavers and is fully Cpd accredited.
